Improve AI visibility by making your brand easy to identify, easy to verify, relevant to commercial questions, present in credible third-party contexts, and measurable through repeatable tests.
1. Define what you want to be known for
Write down your category, core audience, strongest use cases, geography, product names and meaningful differentiators. If your own team uses five different descriptions, external systems will see the same ambiguity.
2. Create a canonical brand facts page
Maintain an About or brand page with stable facts: what the company does, where it operates, who it serves and how offerings relate. Link to deeper evidence instead of turning the page into marketing fluff.
3. Strengthen commercial information
Answer questions buyers actually ask. Publish specifications, comparisons, eligibility, implementation details, pricing explanations, use cases, limitations and evidence. Make it easy to quote the factual answer.
4. Build relevant third-party presence
Prioritize sources that influence your category: marketplaces, software directories, professional associations, industry publications, local profiles, review platforms, communities and partner ecosystems. Relevance matters more than raw volume.
5. Track mentions and citations separately
A model may mention the brand without citing your domain, or cite your content without recommending the brand. Track both. They represent different types of visibility.
6. Connect visibility to outcomes
Measure referral traffic and conversions. The business goal is not to collect screenshots of AI mentions; it is to improve qualified discovery and revenue efficiency.
